Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in 'Embarrassing' Holiday Hypocrites Exhibit

Amidst the Hollywood jet-setting, Prince Harry defends the use of private aircraft, citing "safety for my family." A Christmas-themed display at Kitson Los Angeles, a well-known boutique in the city, called "holiday hypocrites" has drawn criticism directed at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.  For the past four years, people have been criticizing the wealthy and well-known for their holiday décor. The image on display right now is a Photoshopped image of Meghan and Harry wearing Christmas hats.  The store contains screenshots of stories from the Daily Mail and the New York Post beneath this graphic, denouncing the royal couple's frequent use of private planes.

The exhibit highlights a particular event that happened in November, during which the Duke and Duchess of Sussex took a 40-minute private jet ride from the Santa Barbara airport to Nevada to see Katy Perry perform.  The couple then took the same private jet back to California.  Kitson Los Angeles has included this incident into its yearly Christmas commentary on the actions of the affluent and famous, as this choice has been the focus of investigation. The store's artistic commentary on the travel selections of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex was highlighted when royal journalist Kinsey Schofield published a picture of the exhibit at Kitson's Robertson Blvd location.

Cameron Diaz, Benji Madden, and Zoe Saldana—well-known actors—are said to have taken the same aircraft the week Prince William, Prince Harry's brother, chose to fly commercially from the UK to Singapore.  Prince William made this decision in relation to attending the Earthshot Prize awards, indicating his dedication to reducing his environmental impact.

Prince Harry, on the other hand, has already come under fire for using private planes. He addressed the matter in 2019, saying that, in certain cases, special circumstances can call for private travel in order to protect his family.

He highlighted how straightforward the situation was, characterizing it as an infrequent necessity as opposed to a routine habit.  This background sheds light on the royal brothers' disparate strategies on plane travel and environmental impact assessments.
