Meghan Markle Faces Ruthless Mockery on Gutfeld Satire Talk Show, Even Greg Gutfeld Joins In

Last night, Meghan and Harry found themselves at the center of a rather humiliating experience on the satirical talk show known as "Gutfeld," which was hosted by Greg Gutfeld from 2015 to 2021. "Gutfeld" is an American news and political satire talk show that aired on the Fox News Channel, created and presented by Greg Gutfeld. The show began by showcasing an article from The Hollywood Reporter, which labeled the couple, often referred to as "harkle," as one of the biggest losers in Hollywood in 2023.

During the segment, George Murdoch, who goes by the stage name Tyrus and is a frequent guest on the show, didn't mince words. He commented that the "harkle" are the "deepest Royals," implying their irrelevance, and suggested that nobody cares about them. He even went as far as to say that it's nearly impossible to be as big of a loser on Netflix as they are. He pointed out that even a video featuring nothing more than waves washing up on a beach garnered more views than their content. Tyrus, an outspoken critic, is a wrestler and biracial, and he seemed to have little patience for their perceived complaints.

Another guest chimed in with a laugh, remarking that a video of a fireplace was more popular than their show. Andrew, a TV chef, recalled having Megan on his show, where she featured alongside Junior chefs and was pleasant to work with. However, he shared that after she met Harry, the communication abruptly ceased, leaving him somewhat puzzled.

Shannon, yet another guest on the show, admitted to being a fan of Hallmark movies, where the plot typically revolves around a girl finding her prince. She humorously noted that there isn't a single Hallmark movie plot where the girl marries the prince and then pleads with him to give it all up. The hosts and guests collectively poked fun at Meghan and Harry for about five minutes, making various remarks, including some about Harry allowing Meghan to have a significant influence on him.

One of the significant issues raised during the discussion was their lack of discretion. Their brand seemed to be built on breaching private confidences and sharing personal stories. This behavior had apparently made many in Hollywood wary of associating with them. The point was underscored by the notion that if they were willing to disclose private conversations with the late Queen, the current King, the Future King, and even their own family, who could expect their conversations to remain confidential?

In retrospect, it's quite astonishing how swiftly their public image has deteriorated in 2023. Just a year ago, they were still being treated with kid gloves by many. The watershed moment seemed to have been their portrayal in the popular show "South Park."

Adding to their troubles, it was reported that their £88 million Netflix series was less popular than the children's cartoon "Peppa Pig." Even their documentary about their exit from Royal life garnered a combined 62 million hours of viewing on Netflix in the first half of 2023, while the first two seasons of "Peppa Pig" had drawn in more than 140 million hours combined. To put it into perspective, 60 million hours viewed is roughly equivalent to 1 million people watching a 1-hour episode.

Netflix, after facing criticism for its lack of transparency regarding content performance, released these figures. Interestingly, the most viewed Netflix show in the first half of the year turned out to be the political thriller "The Night Agent," which had 812 million hours viewed in just about three months after premiering on March 23rd.
