Netflix Replaces Meghan Markle's Poster with Eddie Murphy's 'Axel Foley' in Surprising Move

Netflix has taken a bold step by removing Meghan Markle's poster from the upcoming film "Beverly Hills Cop Axel Foley" and replacing it with the original 1984 poster featuring Eddie Murphy. This move comes alongside a statement from the streaming giant regarding its association with the Duchess of Sussex, which has been marked by controversy. According to reports from the Daily Mail, Markle had approached Eddie Murphy, both the star and producer of the film, with a request to cast her as his on-screen daughter. She claimed to be a devoted fan of the franchise, asserting her acting skills and charisma for the role. 

Markle also expressed her desire to make a Hollywood comeback after stepping back from the royal family. However, Eddie Murphy was not swayed by Markle's proposal and firmly declined. He had already cast Taylor Page as his on-screen daughter and was uninterested in working with Markle. Murphy expressed his disapproval of Markle's attempt to leverage her royal status for a film role, citing distrust in her motives.

Markle's reaction to Murphy's rejection was one of anger, as she accused him of racism, sexism, and ageism. In response, Netflix made it clear that it was aware of Markle's controversial reputation and preferred not to associate with her or the ensuing drama.
