Bob Seely, a Conservative MP, wants to modify regulations that were first imposed during World War I in order to deprive German nobles of their British titles. The bill would compel the House of Commons to think about renaming Harry and Meghan as just Mr. and Mrs. The California-based couple, who have made a lot of money by opening up about life in the royal family, could face financial ruin as a result of this move, according to showbiz analyst Mark Boardman.
"The expert told Express UK that the possible costs of losing royal titles may be significant, taking into account both the short- and long-term effects on their earning potential.
He continued by stating: "Financial penalties or contractual repercussions tied to their titles within existing contracts could amount to millions, particularly if lucrative commercial deals are affected to the tune of millions a year in lost income should the worst happen, and the Sussexes lose their royal titles."
Mark also stated that the effect on Meghan and Harry's social status would be "significant," noting that "some may view it negatively as a departure from tradition, while others may view it positively as a move towards independence."
