WME Drops Meghan Markle after Hollywood Snubs Her Christmas Carol Movie Project: Lack of Qualifications and Talent

Meghan Markle's endeavor to rekindle her acting career has faced yet another setback, with Hollywood delivering a blow, and an eviction notice from the LA Center adding to her woes. Her ambitious project, a modern adaptation of Charles Dickens' beloved classic "A Christmas Carol," intended for Netflix as part of her multi-million dollar deal, has encountered substantial scrutiny and hurdles. Meghan's vision for this project sought to bring a feminist and diverse twist to the timeless tale, depicting a successful and unyielding businesswoman visited by three Christmas Eve ghosts. However, it appears the project faced harsh criticism primarily due to the quality of the script.

Multiple sources have described Meghan's screenplay as riddled with clichés, errors, and what they perceive as propaganda. It's reported that Meghan, despite her limited experience in screenplay writing, chose to disregard the counsel and feedback of professional writers and consultants who were hired to assist her. She remained steadfast in maintaining full creative control and rejected suggestions and revisions that didn't align with her vision.

The most devastating blow came when Netflix, the intended platform for the movie, turned down Meghan's script. Netflix had expected a high-quality and original product from the Sussexes, but despite several opportunities for improvement and revision, Meghan failed to deliver, ultimately leading to the project's cancellation. This decision was conveyed to Meghan and Harry just last week.

Furthermore, the repercussions of Meghan and Harry's Christmas Carol project extended beyond the film's cancellation. They also lost access to the LA Center, an exclusive facility catering to Creative Professionals in Los Angeles. The Sussexes had been utilizing the LA Center as their production company's base, Aru Productions, enjoying the privileges of membership. However, their behavior, described as impolite and demanding, created friction with both staff and fellow members. Despite receiving warnings and notices from the LA Center, Meghan and Harry reportedly remained uncooperative. Consequently, the LA Center made the tough decision to terminate their membership, instructing them to vacate their office space immediately. Meghan and Harry initially resisted but eventually complied.

Before these recent setbacks, it's worth noting that some experts claimed Meghan Markle was taken aback after marrying Prince Harry, as she didn't anticipate his financial situation to be as modest as it turned out to be. Royal commentator and biographer Tom Bower highlighted this revelation during an interview with Closer magazine. Bower pointed out that Meghan viewed their five-bedroom residence at Frogmore Cottage as akin to a prison sentence. For context, the property underwent a £2.4 million renovation before the couple moved in.

Bower revealed that Meghan didn't realize, when she joined Harry, that he didn't possess substantial wealth or live in a palace. Their life in the UK didn't carry the financial pressures they faced upon moving to their smaller abode near the Pacific. In conclusion, Bower added that Meghan had never aspired to reside in a modest English house, and Frogmore was akin to an unwelcome confinement for her.
