Reports surfaced that The Duchess requested a $20 million payment from the Emmy Awards organizer to secure her invitation to the event, a request that was ultimately denied. The 75th Emmy Awards, originally scheduled for September, were rescheduled to January 15th due to an actor's union strike.

Adding to Meghan's recent string of snubs, she also missed the 39th Annual Santa Barbara Film Festival and the Palm Springs Film Festival. This absence was expected, as Megan had been informed in advance that she wouldn't be invited to participate or present at these events. Notably, the couple didn't produce any films in 2023, providing a logical explanation for their exclusion.

Amidst these snubs, reports from Megan and Harry's PR team suggested that Megan was exploring alternative avenues in Hollywood.
