King Charles Confronts Prince Harry's 'Drama' with Queen on Her Deathbed: A Difficult Situation

King Charles had to endure Prince Harry's dramatic outburst when he requested that Harry attend the Balmoral estate alone. The Prince of Wales is still dealing with the aftermath of the drama surrounding the death of Harry's beloved mother.  There was a commotion when Prince Harry was asked to attend Queen Elizabeth's funeral at Balmoral alone, while Princess Kate opted not to travel to Scotland during the Queen's final hours. However, a new book claims that this decision was not exclusive to Princess Kate. The book, "Charles III: New King, New Court," written by royal expert Robert Hardman, reveals that on September 8th, 2022, the day Queen Elizabeth II passed away, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis were scheduled to attend their new school in Lamor.

The Queen wanted at least one parent to be with the children when Prince William visited Scotland. This decision seemed to pacify Prince Harry, who was reportedly furious when his father, King Charles, asked him to attend the funeral alone. According to the Daily Mail, Mr. Hardman's book states that Prince Harry was never informed that King Charles had declined Princess Kate's attendance. It was ultimately King Charles' decision, made in the best interests of the children. A royal source mentioned that Princess Kate's absence successfully eased Harry's frustration about attending alone. The source added that it was more a stroke of luck than intentional planning, but it made it easier to inform Harry that he would be attending the funeral by himself.

On her 42nd birthday, the Royal Family wished Princess Kate a happy birthday. Just over a year after assuming her role as Princess of Wales following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, Kate has dedicated her efforts to the "Shaping Us" campaign, which aims to redefine the significance of children's formative years. Last month, Kensington Palace shared a childhood photo of Kate Middleton with short brunette hair, sitting at a table on Christmas Day in 1983. This image was used to celebrate the "Shaping Us" initiative ahead of Kate's Christmas Carol concert at Westminster Abbey.

As a mother of three, Kate was unable to accompany William on his trip to Singapore for the Earthshot Awards last fall, as she stayed home with their 10-year-old son, Prince George. When George turned 13, the family faced the decision of choosing the right school for him, with Eaton and Marbar College among the shortlisted candidates.

In 2023, there will be no official overseas tour for the Waleses, as William and Kate will take a backseat to the king and queen's royal tours. However, the prince and princess are planning to visit Italy this spring.
