Renowned royal author Angelina Levin took to X (formerly twitter) on the subsequent Monday to articulate her reflections on the Sussexes' conspicuous nonattendance at the prestigious event. Levin expressed, "Harry and Meghan found no place on the guest list for the Golden Globe awards last night. While they may attempt to deflect attention by claiming prior engagements, evading the substantial repercussion of widespread ridicule, particularly directed at Meghan, proves a more formidable challenge."
Despite the presence of numerous luminaries at the 81st annual Golden Globes, Harry and Meghan opted to eschew the event altogether.
Notably, the royal family faced derision from American comedian Koy, who, in discussing the Netflix hit series, quipped, "A riveting portrayal of a wealthy, Caucasian, dysfunctional family, all scheming – oh, my mistake, that's The Crown. Apologies."
Koy didn't spare a sharp comment on Meghan and Harry's lucrative agreement with the network, jesting, "Harry and Meghan Markle received substantial remuneration for their conspicuous inactivity – and that's merely courtesy of Netflix."
Harry and Meghan were not invited to last night Golden Globe awards. They can get away from that by insisting they were busy. But it is much harder to escape the effect of the heavy mocking especially of Meghan

An industry insider revealed, "Meghan and Harry may harbor gratitude toward the event organizers for their conspicuous exclusion."
"The couple foresaw potential mockery and jests regarding their presence at the star-studded spectacle," added the insider.
