Twitter didn't hold back; they roasted Scobie hard, claiming he has no credibility, and he got shut down real quick. We get it, Scobie owes his career to the Sussex squad, and he's all about churning out positive PR. But stooping to Queen bashing is just not it. The woman devoted her entire life to public service, and she just passed away. Show some respect. Scobie knows the Queen can't respond, so taking cheap shots seems pretty sad. We shouldn't be surprised; subtlety has never been his strong suit. He loves stirring the pot, even if it means throwing family under the bus.
Clearly, Scobie is banking on the Sussex book money train rolling on, but playing the Queen card to boost sales and clicks comes off as desperate. Writing about royal catfights might fly in Hollywood, but it doesn't sit well with the Brits. Scobie's reputation, or whatever is left of it, just keeps taking hits. At the end of the day, messing with the Queen says more about Scobie than anything else. The woman earned her place in history, and dragging her name down won't change that. In my view, the Sussexes should rein in Scobie, letting their attack dog take jabs at the Queen looks terrible. They claim they want privacy, but sending their pit bull out makes no sense.
