Palace Fires Back! Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Face Intense Backlash Over Lilibet's Naming Scandal!

Lilibet is the name chosen by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for their daughter in honor of the late Queen Elizabeth, who was allegedly upset about the situation.  In a surprising twist, a new book challenges the claim made by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle that Queen Elizabeth approved the name Princess Lilibet. Robert Hardman's book, "Charles III: New King, New Court. The Inside Story," serialized in the Daily Mail, presents a different perspective on the royal decision. The book suggests that a Palace aide revealed Queen Elizabeth was "as angry as I'd ever seen her" when the Sussexes publicly stated they wouldn't have chosen the name without her support.

The Sussexes had gone so far as to instruct law firm Schillings to send letters challenging claims that they hadn't sought the Queen's permission, deeming them incorrect and defamatory. Despite threats of legal action, the Palace did not back the Sussexes' version of events, leaving the public with conflicting accounts of the Queen's stance on the name. Princess Lilibet, born on July 4, 2021, carries a name of familial significance, being a cherished childhood nickname of the late Queen. 

The controversy raises questions about the appropriateness of choosing such an intimate family nickname. Harry and Meghan confirmed her full name as Lilibet "Lili" Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, expressing gratitude for global love and prayers on their Archewell website. The Palace, Prince William, and Kate also extended public well-wishes.
