Princess Kate and Prince William's Reaction to Prince Harry's Memoir Exposed

Prince Harry's memoir, titled "Spare," released last year, subjected Prince William and Kate Middleton to extensive criticism. However, rather than closely examining the contents of Prince Harry's memoir, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge decided to rely on their aides to provide them with the "key points" from the book. In his autobiography, which was published in January of the previous year, the Duke of Sussex made accusations against not only Prince William and Kate Middleton but also the rest of the royal family. An excerpt from Robert Hardman's upcoming book about King Charles III sheds light on the future King and Queen of England's response to Prince Harry's memoir. It is revealed that they chose not to open a book that had caused significant distress.

In "The Making of a King: King Charles III and the Modern Monarchy," set to be released on January 18, the royal biographer writes, "Naturally, the world wanted to hear Prince William's thoughts on 'Spare.'" He further adds, quoting a senior aide, "His staff remain adamant that he and the Princess refused to open a book which has caused so much pain." The aide explains, "neither of them read it," emphasizing that Prince William, being a 40-year-old adult, is well aware of the book's contents due to the BBC app on his phone. However, they made sure to inform him of the essential aspects. 

According to reports, the couple stated, "He is a grown-up 40-year-old with the BBC app on his phone, so he knows what it says. But he has people like me to tell him what else he needs to know. We gave him the key points." 

In his memoir, Prince Harry provides intricate details about instances where he felt snubbed by his older brother while also shedding light on King Charles' apparent favoritism towards the heir and the spare.
