Provoked: Prince Harry Allegedly Slapped Meghan Markle After Royal Title Stripped by King Charles

Meghan Markle is joyously celebrating Oscar nominations as a film she is associated with secures a win. The Duchess of Sussex shares a close friendship with Miss Harman, who directed the award-winning film.  Meghan Markle may be readying the champagne as she learns about the Oscar nomination for her friend Miss Harman's short film, "The After." The film clinched the Best Live Action Short Film category at the 2024 Oscars after previously winning accolades at the Astro Film Awards and the African-American Film Critics Association. Notably, "The After" marks Miss Harman's directorial debut.

The Duchess of Sussex had participated in a panel discussion for La Taste Makers in November alongside Miss Harman and one of the film's stars, David Oao. During the event, she wore a stylish brown suit. The Netflix synopsis for "The After" revolves around an exhausted rideshare driver confronting grief after witnessing a violent crime. Miss Harman, currently the chairman of the South Bank Center, is recognized as an entrepreneur, activist, and photographer. He gained fame for creating the only publicly published portrait of Princess Lilibet, including images released by the family to announce Meghan's second pregnancy in 2021.

Speaking about his friendship with Meghan and Harry, the director emphasized their genuine connection, acknowledging the role he played in introducing them.  Meanwhile, Prince Harry was honored as a living legend of aviation at a ceremony in Beverly Hills. Animator John Travolta, with a touching connection to the Duke through dancing with Harry's late mother, Princess Diana, in 1985, presented the award. The event, described as a memorable evening, drew attention, with some questioning the accolade given Harry's military service and the founding of the Invictus Games.

Royal commentator Robert Jobson expressed skepticism about Prince Harry receiving an award for aviation, stating it seems a bit exaggerated. While acknowledging Harry's bravery in Afghanistan and helicopter pilot missions, Jobson suggested the award may raise questions about the honors system rather than the Duke's status as an aviation legend.
