Scobie Allegedly Attempts to Blackmail Meghan Markle, Demanding 20M to Keep Damaging Information Secret

What was supposed to be Omid Scobie's dream project has turned into a royal nightmare, with reports suggesting that the biographer, known for his work on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, is planning to disappear in the new year. Currently residing in seclusion in Los Angeles, Scobie faces negative attention for his book about the Royals, particularly due to the recent revelation of names in the Dutch translation of "Endgame." In his book, Scobie disclosed the names of supposed Royal discriminators, attributing it to an accident, but the damage was already done. The disclosure reignited controversy around Meghan Markle's past accusations about concerns over her son Archie's skin color during her pregnancy in 2019. Faced with the fallout, including his critical comments on Prince William and Kate Middleton, Scobie is reportedly moving to Los Angeles.

According to Angela Levin, close to the Sussexes' sources, Scobie is unfazed by burning bridges with the royal family and plans to write more, even if they are fictional stories. She mentioned in an interview with GB News that Scobie is no longer allowed access to the Royal circle, and the Royals understandably want to keep their distance from him. The timing of Scobie's explosive book couldn't have been worse for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who were already facing financial challenges. Royal expert Gareth Russell, speaking on GB News, pointed out that being labeled as two of the biggest losers in Hollywood, according to a Hollywood Reporter article, damaged their prestige. 

Russell highlighted that the negative publicity from "Endgame" at a time when they were struggling financially wasn't in their best interests.

In essence, the expert suggested that it would be in their best interests to shift away from the narrative that often involves attacking the royal family. He emphasized that being prominently in the headlines for such reasons isn't working to generate public sympathy, especially in the context of their standing in the celebrity world.
