A full report in 2017 detailed human rights violations by African Parks and other conservation groups, yet they only wrote to Prince Harry's charity in 2023, connecting them with the African Parks CEO. Harry, it seems, was complicit in burying these crimes for years. Longo claims they cannot definitively say Harry knew before they contacted him in 2023, but reading between the lines, it appears obvious that Longo was hesitant in her denial. Make no mistake, Harry likely knew and chose to turn a blind eye, consistent with his pattern of behavior. Just like with his family, Harry seems willing to throw anyone under the bus to protect his image.
Longo even suggests that Harry now has a responsibility to address this corruption and calls for him to step down from African Parks entirely. However, I'm skeptical that he'll do the right thing. Harry's involvement grants African Parks credibility and cover for their abuses; he is complicit in enabling human rights violations by lending his name and fame.
This issue is part of a more extensive problem – the exploitative colonial model of conservation in Africa. Indigenous communities are the true guardians of the natural world, not corrupt groups like African Parks. They should be advocating for these communities rather than enabling oppression. Unfortunately, personal sacrifice seems too much for Harry, who finds it easier to preach about justice while pocketing millions.
In my view, Survival International's revelations are the final nail in the coffin. Harry has been unmasked as a willing propagandist for corrupt conservation organizations. No more virtue signaling speeches from Prince Harry; he needs to take a stand and withdraw from African Parks. However, I won't hold my breath. Don't be fooled by his feeble denials – the evidence against the prince is clear. His charitable efforts in Africa appear to serve nothing more than self-serving headlines. What a disgraceful fall from grace for the once widely respected veteran, exposed by his own partners. Harry's reputation is in tatters, and all his grand speeches and interviews ring hollow when his actions are laid bare.
I want to hear your thoughts. Do you believe Harry was aware of African Parks' atrocities all along? Should he resign, and does this destroy his credibility on conservation and human rights? Sound off below, and stick with me for more coverage. The chickens are truly coming home to roost for the delusional Duke and his Diva wife. Justice is being served.
