As soon as news of Charles's illness broke, Meghan Markle, predictably, found a way to make it about herself. According to multiple reports, she reached out to her favorite newspapers and magazines to express her deep concern for his condition. One article claimed she was "worried sick" about Charles and hoped for his speedy recovery. Frankly, it's hard to believe Meghan suddenly cares deeply about King Charles's well-being. Her actions seem like just another attention-seeking stunt from her playbook.
This isn't the first time Meghan has inserted herself into Royal matters to garner attention. Whenever a member of the Royal Family so much as sneezes, Meghan is quick to shed her crocodile tears and make it all about her. Whether it's Prince William's sniffles or now King Charles's illness, Meghan can't stand not being the center of attention for even a moment. It's become painfully transparent what she's doing here—using any opportunity to dominate the news cycle, regardless of the consequences.
Despite spending the last two years trashing Charles and the entire Royal Family, Meghan suddenly wants to play the role of his number one fan. It's laughable and utterly disingenuous. Meghan's fake concern over Charles's illness is just another symptom of her insatiable thirst for attention and status, even if it means manipulating situations at the expense of others.
At some point, people need to start calling Meghan out for her incessant need to center herself in every Royal story. This latest charade about Charles is just one more example of her shameless self-promotion. While some may see it as empowering, it actually reveals a disturbing lack of self-awareness and empathy. Meghan needs to learn that not everything revolves around her and start showing genuine support and care for others instead of constantly seeking the spotlight.
