Lady Colin Campbell Criticizes Meghan Markle for Disrespecting Monarchy and Appropriating the Sussex Name

In a scathing critique, Lady Colin Campbell has once again targeted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, this time focusing on their Sussex-com website. The aristocrat criticized the website as both an imposition and an impertinence to the people of Sussex. Lady Campbell stated that while the geographic assignment of their title might share a name with the county, they are not representatives of the county, nor do many of its residents share their values. She suggested that the couple's website misleads visitors into thinking it is affiliated with the county. Lady Campbell further proposed that a more appropriate domain name for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would have been "dukeandduchessofsussex-co-uk," emphasizing their lack of direct association with the region.

Additionally, the revamped website has drawn attention for potential legal infractions. Royal journalist Michael Cole highlighted concerns over the use of royal titles for private gain, which could potentially violate the law. Cole explained that senior or junior British royals are not permitted to use their regal status as a means to make money, suggesting that such actions could breach established protocol. He also clarified that referring to Prince Harry and Meghan by the surname "Sussex" is inaccurate, as their family name is Mountbatten-Windsor, in accordance with royal tradition.

Cole expressed anticipation for the palace's response to these developments, suggesting potential formal reprimands or requests to cease and desist from using certain titles on their website. He commented that this situation is likely to cause annoyance at Buckingham Palace, highlighting the sensitivity of the matter within royal circles.

While the response from the palace remains uncertain, the controversy surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan's digital presence continues to fuel speculation about their relationship with the royal family and adherence to established protocols.
