According to royal author Tom Quinn, even if Harry were allowed to come back temporarily, Meghan would not be part of the arrangement. Quinn stated, "Harry will not move back to the UK without Meghan - not even for a few months. But he had to make the offer because anything else would have looked callous and uncaring." Quinn further revealed that Harry was visibly shocked and upset upon learning about Charles' condition and immediately wanted to provide practical assistance. However, the likelihood of Harry securing a distinct role within the royal family seems improbable.
"Harry knows he will never be allowed to be a permanent part-time working royal, staying six months in the States and then six months in the UK," Quinn continued. "The family no longer trust him, and besides, Meghan is absolutely against it. There is far too much bad blood now for it to be even a remote possibility." He added, "No one in the royal family wants to go back to the terrible days when Meghan and Harry and William and Kate tried to get along and failed - and caused serious damage to the image of the royal family."
Royalists do not envision Meghan rejoining the monarchy, as she is focused on rebuilding her lifestyle brand. It was previously reported that Meghan expressed a desire to connect with Taylor Swift after the pop star declined to participate in her podcast, "Archetypes."
Commentator Kinsey Schofield suggested that Meghan is eager to befriend Taylor Swift, stating, "Meghan is desperate to be Taylor's friend. Meghan invited Taylor Swift on her podcast by sitting down and writing her a handwritten letter begging her to be on 'Archetypes.'"
In 2023, Meghan attended Swift's concert in California and was seen singing and dancing to the music. Schofield added, "It was important for Meghan to release to gossip sites that she was there; she wanted people to know."
Schofield also noted that Meghan aims to emulate Taylor Swift's marketing strategy. "Taylor went from villain to hero, and I'm sure Meghan is looking at that transition and thinking, 'How can I do something similar?'"
Although Meghan was unable to secure Swift as a guest on her podcast, she announced that "Archetypes" would return after its cancellation by Spotify. She shared her excitement about joining the team at Lemonada, a female-founded company, and expressed her eagerness to launch a new podcast soon.
