In a now-deleted tweet, Markle wrote, "Watch the Senate hearing on ticket expansion and feel grateful for our partnership with Ticket Master for the Archewell Summit. Don't miss this opportunity to join us and our wonderful guests for a day of inspiration and action. Get your tickets now."
This tweet sparked a backlash on Twitter, with users accusing Markle of being tone-deaf, insensitive, and opportunistic. Some responses criticized her for exploiting a serious issue to promote her vanity project, while others initiated the hashtag #BoycottArchewellSummit.
Criticism also extended to the Senate hearing, with several Senators expressing displeasure at Markle's actions.
