Meghan Markle Signs Divorce Papers Amid Prince Harry's Yearning to Return to the UK

Prince Harry's recent decision to travel back to the UK has reportedly not sat well with Meghan Markle. The Duke of Sussex made the journey on Tuesday to visit his father, King Charles, who had recently received a cancer diagnosis. Meanwhile, Meghan remained at their home base.  The news of Harry's visit to his father came as a surprise, as he had been one of the few close family members informed about the diagnosis prior to Buckingham Palace releasing an official statement on Monday evening. Harry wasted no time and swiftly flew from Los Angeles to London, landing at Heathrow Airport on Tuesday afternoon. From there, he headed straight to the Palace to spend time with his father before the King's scheduled travel to Sandringham via helicopter.

The specifics of Harry's return to California, where Meghan and their two children reside, are currently unknown. The relationship between the Sussexes and the royal family has been strained for some time, with royal expert Angela Levan suggesting that Meghan would not welcome news of a father-son reunion. Levan expressed her views on GB News, stating, "Meghan won't come with him, and I think Harry has a big mountain to climb if he becomes very close to his father again. I don't think she'll be happy at all. He's struggling with this rock that he's on, whether he upsets Meghan or upsets his father."

Levan further added that she doubted a reunion between Harry and Charles would resolve the ongoing feud surrounding Meghan's involvement. In his memoir, the Duke of Sussex faced criticism for his critical remarks about certain family members. However, he did share fond memories of his father, recalling moments when Charles would express his pride in him through letters. Harry mentioned that his father had difficulty with face-to-face communication and would sometimes leave letters on his pillow after a long dinner, expressing his admiration and pride for Harry's accomplishments. This led Harry to wonder why such sentiments were not expressed in person during their interactions.

Opinions on Meghan's absence from the UK varied among experts. Royal author Robert Jobson suggested that it was wise for her to stay home with their children, considering the personal and challenging nature of the situation for Prince Harry. Jobson also referenced Harry's upcoming memoir, which has caused controversy due to its criticisms of the late Queen and Prince William's wife, Catherine, while also accusing William of being a bully.

In summary, Meghan Markle is reportedly displeased with Prince Harry's decision to return to the UK to visit his father, King Charles, following the cancer diagnosis. The couple's strained relationship with the royal family adds complexity to the situation, and experts have differing opinions on Meghan's absence during this time.
