Meghan, 42, chose to stay in California with their two children, while Harry, 39, embarked on the journey back to London. Photographs captured Prince Harry at a private terminal in Los Angeles International Airport, heading to be by his father's side. Speculation arose regarding Meghan's absence, but according to Grant Harold, a former butler who served King Charles for seven years, Megan may have believed it was best for Harry to have some one-on-one time with his father.
Grant added that Meghan understood the close relationship between Harry and his father and possibly encouraged him to make the trip alone. Although Megan is not in the UK presently, Grant did not rule out the possibility of her joining Prince Harry in the near future, along with their children. "I'm sure at some point they will bring the grandchildren over. That might be part of what's being discussed—an opportunity for them to come over as a family," Grant stated.
However, it's worth noting that Megan had previously vowed never to return to England, as claimed by Royal author Amid Scobby, who stated that Megan never felt at home in the UK and had no desire to set foot in the country again. Nevertheless, with King Charles' recent cancer diagnosis, circumstances could potentially alter Megan's stance
King Charles was diagnosed with an enlarged prostate last month, which led to a three-day hospital stay for treatment. During this time, doctors discovered an unrelated cancer, the specific type of which has not been disclosed. Prince Harry met with his father on February 6th, shortly after his hasty return to the UK. However, contrary to expectations of a lengthy reunion after nine months apart, the meeting reportedly lasted only around 45 minutes. A royal expert on Good Morning Britain suggested that the brevity of the meeting was due to the King's fatigue caused by ongoing cancer treatment.
Prince Harry was seen arriving at Clarence House, the official residence of the King, in the back of an SUV as part of a motorcade. The King and Queen Camilla were later spotted boarding a helicopter that transported them to Sandringham. The situation remains dynamic, and the potential for a shift in Megan's plans cannot be discounted.
