For a while, King Charles tolerated their antics, but Harry's memoir was the last straw. By airing the family's dirty laundry for personal gain, Harry crossed a line. So, Charles took action and removed him from the line of succession entirely.
Can you imagine Meghan's reaction? She must be furious. Her carefully crafted plan to return to the palace has been shattered. And Harry, well, he's probably realizing the gravity of his situation. No more royal status, no more relevance in the palace.
This move makes sense. Harry chose his path when he left for LA and signed those Netflix deals. He wanted freedom, and now he's got it. But actions have consequences, and if you make millions by trashing your family, don't be surprised when they hit back.
I do sympathize with Harry, though. Being cast out by your own family must hurt. But if he wants any chance of reconciliation, he needs to distance himself from Meghan. Charles and William have had enough of her manipulative games.
