Tostitos Director Drops Bombshell: Meghan Markle Allegedly Linked to 6 Associates Before Starring in 30-Second Chip Commercial

Lee Coner, former Great Britain adviser to the US House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee, has criticized Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, referring to their multiple failures and claiming that the US has lost interest in the couple. Since stepping down from their royal roles and relocating to the United States in 2020, the royal duo has faced criticism for their public endeavors. Speaking to CBN America, Coner stated that just as Queen Elizabeth experienced her "annus horribilis" in 1992, he believes that 2023 has been the Sussexes' own "annus horribilis." 

The couple has encountered several setbacks and failures, with the first being their inability to harm the monarchy and the royal family. According to Coner, Americans are no longer interested in what the Sussexes have to offer, and their popularity in the United States continues to decline. Since their move to the US, Harry and Meghan have undertaken numerous projects, although some have fallen through. During an appearance at Variety magazine's Power of Women event in November, Meghan hinted at a significant upcoming announcement. 

She expressed excitement about the projects they were working on and her husband's enthusiasm. Meghan also discussed her past work on the legal drama "Suits," in which she had a supporting role. However, it should be noted that Meghan stopped acting a long time ago, making a return to the industry unlikely.

Recently, an old video resurfaced featuring Meghan Markle in a commercial for the popular chip brand, Tostitos, over a decade ago, before she gained widespread recognition. The 32-second ad shows Meghan playing the role of a shopper in a grocery store, searching for snacks for a party she is hosting. While the plot of the Tostitos ad is simple and relatable, the director of the commercial was surprised by Meghan's performance. Despite her previous acting experience and being 27 years old at the time, Meghan struggled to deliver her lines effectively, using an overly breathy voice and incorporating unnecessary moaning. As a result, the crew had to replace her voice with a more suitable voiceover. Meghan's performance in the commercial received criticism from viewers, who found it dull and unimpressive, even though she had no speaking lines.

In the advertisement, Meghan's character contemplates the choice between two different brands of corn chips. She initially picks up a brown bag of store-brand corn chips, only to be disappointed by the long list of ingredients on the packaging. Disgusted, she puts the store-brand bag back on the shelf and opts for a blue bag of Tostito Scoops, noting the shorter and simpler ingredients list of white corn, vegetable oil, and salt. She confidently adds the Tostitos to her cart, embracing the tagline "surprisingly simple."
