Meghan Markle Met with Silence as She Arrives Late to Woman in Leadership Stage

Meghan Markle, co-hosting a woman in leadership event in Nigeria's capital, Abuja, alongside Dr. Nozi Aono, the Director-General of the World Trade Organization, faced criticism for her late arrival and choice of attire. Upon her arrival, Markle arrived nearly an hour behind schedule, donning a dress with spaghetti straps that was deemed inappropriate for the conservative Muslim nation. This display of disregard for the expected dress code was seen by many as a sign of lacking empathy and narcissistic behavior.

As Markle took the stage, the applause was notably scarce, with only a few faint claps heard. In stark contrast to the enthusiastic response received by the other speaker, it seemed that only one person, likely a hired supporter, attempted to compensate for the lack of audience enthusiasm by clapping loudly and excessively. This tepid reception undoubtedly disappointed Markle, fueling her narcissistic tendencies.

Despite her lackluster entrance, Markle failed to impress with her economic insights or offer meaningful contributions to the discussion. Instead, she rambled about her experiences as a mother, sharing anecdotes about her children, Archie and Lilibet. Her attempts to portray herself as a leader fell flat, as she lacked any substantial achievements or experiences in leadership roles.

During the panel discussion, Markle spoke about the challenges of balancing motherhood and a career, expressing her love for being a mother while acknowledging the difficulties. However, her comments seemed disingenuous, given her privileged lifestyle and reliance on staff and nannies. The constant shifting of her priorities and self-centered behavior only served to highlight her disconnect from reality.

During the Q&A session, Markle thanked Nigerians for welcoming her and her husband, referring to Nigeria as "my country." She expressed her flattery, honor, and inspiration, while also acknowledging the need to incorporate more vibrant colors into her wardrobe to fit in with the country's fashion trends. When asked about her reaction upon discovering her Nigerian heritage through a genealogy test, Markle shared that she immediately called her mother to discuss it, describing the experience as eye-opening and humbling.

Markle's presence at the event did little to inspire confidence or admiration. Her lack of substantive contributions and reliance on self-aggrandizement and empty rhetoric overshadowed any potential positive impact. It became evident that her inflated sense of self-importance far exceeded her actual contributions or abilities.
