Meghan Markle is reportedly in tears over what she perceives as unfair criticism surrounding her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard. Launched back in March, Meghan sent out pots of jam to selected friends and influencers. However, according to a royal expert speaking to the Mirror, Meghan has been deeply disappointed by the reaction to her brand, to the extent that it has brought her to tears.
Author Tom Quinn believes Meghan would have been devastated by the lukewarm reception to American Riviera Orchard, particularly following criticism over her new jam. He describes the situation as a "fly in the ointment" for Meghan, who allegedly feels that anything she does will be unfairly criticized. Quinn suggests that Meghan is not prepared for the criticism her brand may face when it goes live later this year, especially regarding her luxurious lifestyle in the US.
Ahead of the brand's launch, reports claim Meghan is planning a PR blitz to drive online sales, including appearances on chat shows and podcasts, as well as interviews with selected journalists to repair her image in both the UK and the US. The brand will offer various products, including items for animals, such as dog grooming products, pet pillows, and even chicken feed, reflecting Meghan and Harry's love for animals. Additionally, there will be fragrances, bath salts, skincare products, homeware goods, and food products like jams and marmalades.
Despite the challenges, Meghan and Prince Harry are reportedly stronger than ever, with an insider suggesting that after the success of their Nigeria visit, any talk of removing their titles won't concern them. They feel affirmed by the impact they made in Nigeria and believe they don't need the royal family's support to make a difference. Meghan is said to view the royal family as an archaic institution and believes she and Harry don't need them, only each other.
