Recently, Prince Harry's fans have shown their discontent towards Zara Tindall, accusing her of not supporting her cousin during his recent visit to the UK. There was much anticipation over whether members of the royal family would join Prince Harry for a special service commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.
Upon Prince Harry's arrival at St. Paul's Cathedral, he was greeted by a warm reception, but noticeably absent were any members of the royal family. Instead, he was accompanied by his late mother's siblings, Charles Spencer and Lady Jane Fellowes. Many fans of the Sussexes expressed their displeasure at Zara Tindall, who received the bulk of the criticism. Diana's family attended the Invictus service to support Prince Harry, while his own family chose not to attend, not even his favorite cousin, Zara.
On social media, one fan commented, "This is family for you. The absence of Zara Tindall and other members of the royal family at Prince Harry's Invictus Games service has raised questions." Another fan described the Royal Family's absence as shameful, writing, "Don't tell me Beatrice, Zara, Princess Anne, Edward, or other Windsor cousins couldn't attend. It's just shameful." Referring to the Buckingham Palace garden party that took place on the same day, another fan remarked, "Not all the Royals were at the Garden Party. What about his cousins, Eugenie, Beatrice, Zara, and Lady Louise? Why didn't they support Harry?"
While there were no fans defending Zara, some suggested that Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie may have had other commitments. One fan mentioned, "Maybe they had other things to do. I know Beatrice is in New York at the moment. It's not just about Harry." Another fan pointed out that Eugenie and her young family split their time between the UK and Portugal, hinting that she might not have been in London during the service. Additionally, Zara was competing in the Badminton Horse Trials during that time.
Similar to previous visits, Prince Harry only stayed in the UK for a short period before traveling to Nigeria with his wife, Meghan Markle. They flew to Nigeria together and landed in the African country on May 10th. The couple spent three days there, attending further Invictus Games commitments at the invitation of the military. Harry and Meghan are said to have returned to the US on Monday, preparing to reunite with their children in California.
