In a recent post by the palace, which included photos of King Charles, Prince William, and Queen Camilla in Portsmouth on the eve of the anniversary, Kate Middleton broke her silence and responded to the event.
The caption accompanying the post stated, "Today in Portsmouth, The King, The Queen, and The Prince of Wales joined veterans, Heads of State, and members of the public to commemorate the troops who, 80 years ago, were preparing for D-Day and facing an uncertain fate in France. The commemorative event shed light on the stories of some of the individuals involved in the largest seaborne invasion in military history."
Kate Middleton expressed her reaction to the post by liking it, pressing the heart button.
While King Charles and Queen Camilla attended the main commemorative event at the British Normandy Memorial in Ver-sur-Mer, organized by the UK Ministry of Defence and the Royal British Legion, photos of the event were shared by the palace on Instagram.
Interestingly, Kate Middleton was the first to show her appreciation for the post by liking it.
