Revealing New Details About Kate Middleton's Cancer and Treatment

Prince Kate Undergoing Preventative Chemotherapy, Typically Administered for Six Months. A cancer specialist has shared new, explosive details regarding Kate Middleton's cancer type and treatment. The Princess of Wales, who disclosed her cancer diagnosis and preventative chemotherapy in March, has kept the specifics of her cancer and treatment private.

However, a health expert has elaborated on Catherine's preventative chemotherapy treatment on The Royal Record podcast.

"It's a time of uncertainty. She's obviously had an operation for cancer; we were asked not to speculate what it was, but it was somewhere in the abdomen," cancer specialist Karol Sikora explained while speaking to Svar Nanan-Sen and Cameron Walker.

Sikora continued: "It was an abdominal operation. She's undergoing preventative chemotherapy, which typically lasts for six months."

He added, "The reason we administer preventative, or adjuvant, chemotherapy is to reduce the risk of the disease returning. Even if scans show no visible signs of spread, we use adjuvant chemotherapy if there's a perceived risk of recurrence."

The specialist also discussed the patient's experiences during treatment when Cameron asked whether it was accurate for Kate to say that she has "good and bad days" with her treatment.

He revealed, "The actual day of treatment is usually manageable. The day after, however, you often feel very tired, and then the effects can be quite unpredictable."

These new details about Kate's cancer diagnosis and treatment emerged after the Princess of Wales attended Trooping the Colour, marking her first official public appearance since Christmas 2023.
