Thomas Markle Opens Up About Prince Harry, Meghan, and Their Children. Thomas Markle, Meghan Markle's estranged father, has shared his feelings about Prince Harry and his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, the grandchildren of King Charles III.
In an interview with New Zealand Woman's Weekly, Thomas Markle expressed his sadness over not having met his son-in-law, Prince Harry. "It struck me as very sad that Meghan and Harry's kids are being denied the right to know their cousins, who look like fantastic children, or take part in things like Trooping the Colour, which is their birthright," he said.
As he approaches his 80th birthday on July 18, Thomas Markle reflected further, "They are getting to the age where they will start to ask questions, as all kids do. I find myself wondering how Archie and Lilibet will feel in a few years' time when they realize all the things they have missed out on."
Thomas Markle also expressed his longing to hear from his daughter Meghan. "She is the one person I want to hear from most," he admitted, although he acknowledged that she is unlikely to reach out to wish him happy birthday or to arrange a meeting.
Thomas Markle and Meghan Markle's relationship became strained following a paparazzi scandal and his absence from her wedding in 2018. According to reports, they have not spoken since.
