Sources indicate that while the annex is currently usable, it would need significant renovations to be fully integrated into the cottage grounds. Although discussions about the project have been ongoing, the timing for its completion is still pending. An insider mentioned that William is mindful of public scrutiny regarding the Royal Family’s spending, so he is exploring the best way to fund the renovations.
The report also revealed that the renovation plans are currently on hold due to the family's present situation. However, Prince William intends to move forward with the project when the time is right.
