Desperate Prince Harry Attempts to Upstage Prince William and King Charles with Solo NYC PR Trip

It looks like Prince Harry is back in the spotlight, filling up his schedule with a flurry of events aimed at keeping himself relevant and competing with his brother, Prince William, and King Charles. He seems determined to prove he's still a working royal, and it almost feels like he's taken a page out of Meghan Markle’s playbook—how to create drama and distance yourself from people.

You might think it’s just a coincidence, but in the world of Harry and Meghan, there’s rarely such a thing as a happy accident. Harry and Meghan have been using their Sussex strategy to constantly make headlines and overshadow the royal family. Today, we’ll be discussing how Harry and Meghan are relentlessly plotting to undermine the royals and using strategic PR stunts to divert attention from negative news about them.

There are two things I find quite notable about Harry and Meghan: their consistency and their predictability. You could almost set your watch by their moves! Recently, there’s been a lot of buzz about Prince Harry’s new business ventures and travel plans for the summer. This comes right after their controversial Colombia tour and the hefty $1.5 million spent on taxpayer-funded security, raising questions about their decisions.

In response to all the negative press, Harry’s PR team has been working overtime. First up, the paperback version of his memoir, "Spare," is set for release this fall—October 22nd in the US and October 24th in the UK. Conveniently, this release coincides with King Charles's visit to Samoa from October 21st to 25th. What a coincidence, right? As if to overshadow the King’s historic trip.

Interestingly, the paperback will not include new information, which is unusual. Typically, paperbacks come with updated content, but in this case, it seems they’re just re-releasing the same book. Some speculate this is to keep the book—and Harry’s controversies—fresh in people’s minds.

Moving on to Harry’s upcoming solo trip to New York City, where he’ll be attending the UN General Assembly and Climate Week from September 23rd to 27th. He’s also scheduled to host an event for the Diana Awards, which is curious because the 25th anniversary was actually back in March. Some see this as Harry trying to upstage his brother, who had a significant visit to NYC last year for the Earthshot Prize.

Harry’s spokesperson suggests his trip is to advance various charitable initiatives, but many think this is more about him positioning himself in the same space as William, hoping for a reunion or to force some interaction. It appears Harry might be trying to reconnect with William, but William seems to be sticking to his other commitments.

During their uncle’s funeral, Harry and William were present but reportedly did not interact. Their last real conversation was at Queen Elizabeth’s funeral in September 2022, and it seems Harry is struggling to force a reconciliation with his brother. Unfortunately, it looks like William and Catherine are focused on protecting their own peace rather than indulging in Harry’s attempts at a reunion.
