Meghan Markle Upset After Prince Harry Hires Speechwriter for CGI Speech Instead of Her

Prince Harry is preparing for his high-profile appearance at Bill Clinton’s annual New York Summit, where he'll rub elbows with celebrities like Matt Damon and José Andrés, who recently joined Prince William’s prestigious Earthshot Prize. The event, scheduled for September 23rd and 24th, will see Harry speaking about his latest project with Meghan Markle: the Archewell Foundation’s Parents Network, which aims to support parents affected by online harms and violence against children.

According to a blind item, Harry is so concerned about making a poor impression that he’s spent more money on a former presidential speechwriter than he’ll actually make from his speaking engagement. This move, which some might see as desperate, involves Harry outsourcing his speechwriting to avoid the embarrassment of relying on his own words. Let's hope he can read the speech without stumbling over it.

It’s almost poetic that Harry would hire a professional for a task he apparently struggles with himself. The speechwriter, reportedly costing more than Harry’s speaker fee, has been instructed to keep the speech brief and avoid complex words. Apparently, Harry has been warned that anything with three syllables or more might just overwhelm him.

Given the ongoing saga of carefully crafted narratives and staged events, it wouldn’t be surprising if Meghan Markle had a hand in this PR move. After all, Harry’s recent endeavors have been full of carefully curated images and narratives. If Meghan were in the U.S., we’d likely have seen paparazzi shots from the airport and a full-fledged public appearance. Instead, the only drama seems to be the rivalry playing out in the tabloids.

Interestingly, Meghan hasn’t been spotted accompanying Harry to this Clinton Foundation event. One might have expected her to seize the opportunity to mingle with Hillary Rodham Clinton or at least cozy up to Bill Clinton. Her absence has led many to wonder if there’s trouble in paradise.

The biggest slap in the face, however, is Harry’s apparent disdain for Meghan’s contributions by hiring an external speechwriter. By doing so, he’s effectively suggested that Meghan’s writing skills are less valuable, a move that seems like a classic case of biting the hand that feeds you. Spending more on the speechwriter than the actual speaking fee is a petty but amusing touch.

Of course, no amount of polished prose from a hired hand will hide Harry’s inherent lack of substance. He might deliver a smoothly crafted speech, but it won’t change the fact that he’s seen by some as an overhyped, attention-seeking figure. Despite his efforts to make a splash, his speeches and high-priced help won’t elevate him beyond the ridicule he has faced. The royal family, having kept him hidden for years, knew exactly what they were doing.

In reality, Harry’s attempts to compete with his more accomplished brother, Prince William, are just another chapter in his ongoing quest for relevance. No matter how elaborate the scripts or expensive the help, he remains a figure of derision to those who see through his facade. Harry’s insistence on upstaging William serves as a reminder of his own shortcomings.

So, Harry, here’s a tip: save your money, skip the hired help, and stay home. No amount of clever words or high-priced speechwriters will change the fact that you’re viewed as a joke. It’s time to face the reality that you’re simply not in the same league as your brother.
