Kate Middleton and Prince William Stun Public with New Family Addition!

Royal fans are buzzing with excitement as speculation grows that Princess Catherine may announce she’s expecting her fourth child with Prince William by the end of 2024. This follows a prediction by a celebrity psychic that the Princess of Wales is set for a romantic year filled with surprises. While the royal couple takes on new roles, especially as they support their mother through her cancer recovery, the trio of royal children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—are overjoyed at the thought of welcoming a new baby, even if the child isn't their sibling.

However, with Catherine’s health being a top priority as she focuses on her recovery, the dream of another sibling for her children seemed far off. Amid this, the arrival of baby Inigo, the first child of their beloved Uncle James Middleton, has brought fresh joy to the Wales family. Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis have stepped up, along with their cousins from their mother’s side—Pippa Middleton’s children Arthur, Grace, and Rose Matthews—to help care for their youngest cousin, Inigo Middleton.

This thoughtful decision by Princess Catherine to include her children in looking after their baby cousin showcases her loving role as an aunt and a devoted family member. James Middleton has shared how his older sister has even lent some of her children’s old baby clothes to her nephew, Inigo. Both Catherine and Pippa, who shares three children with her husband James Matthews, have generously offered hand-me-downs for the newest addition to the family.

James and his wife AlizĂ©e Thevenet welcomed baby Inigo last year, and the family now lives in Bucklebury, Berkshire, close to Pippa’s home, also in Berkshire, and Catherine’s residence in Windsor. James revealed that the family frequently gathers at their parents' home in Bucklebury for tea or supper, with siblings and cousins often stopping by. “There’s often an aunt or a cousin passing through too,” he said. The cousins, now a group of seven, all take part in looking after baby Inigo. “I think they’re all impressed at how much of a mess Inigo can make, and there’s lots of laughter and giggles about it.”

Recalling the heartwarming moment when his nieces and nephews first met their baby cousin during the first weekend after his birth, James shared: “It’s hard to believe he was only two days old. My sisters and their children came to visit, and we all had lunch together at Mom and Dad’s. There were cries from the cousins of ‘Was I ever that small?’ and George, Charlotte, and Louis took turns cuddling Inigo in their laps. They’ve already realized there’s a ten-year age gap between George and Inigo, and they can’t wait for him to be old enough to join their adventures.”

James went on to describe the children’s excitement, noting how fortunate baby Inigo is to have older cousins who can now pick him up and show him new things. As he grows, they’ll be able to look out for him. “There’s definitely an element of curiosity about the baby that they have,” he added.

It’s easy to see why the young royals are so thrilled with baby Inigo’s arrival. Having another little one in the family brings a sense of joy and hope, especially during such a challenging time. Catherine, who has always been close to her siblings, has not only lent baby clothes to Inigo but also ensured that her three children are eager to teach their cousin everything they know. With such a strong family bond, Inigo will undoubtedly grow up surrounded by love and guidance.

Additionally, James Middleton opened up about how he values the parenting advice he’s received from his sisters, Catherine and Pippa. “It’s been wonderful seeing them become mothers and being so dedicated and strong. I’m in awe of that,” he said. “I’ve been fortunate to see how my sisters have done it and take tips along the way—some I take on board, and others, I’m like, hm.”

Regarding the sentimental act of borrowing his sisters’ children’s hand-me-downs for Inigo, James reflected: “They’re milestones because my sisters remember when their child wore something and how old they were. It takes them back. It’s been a lovely thing for them.”
