Accompanied by Queen Camilla, the King was in Sydney today to commemorate the Bicentenary of the New South Wales Legislative Council at Parliament House.
During a lighthearted conversation with Kellie Sloane, the Member for Vaucluse, King Charles sent his warm regards to the "amazing" surf clubs at Bondi Beach.
Sloane shared the moment on social media, writing: "It was wonderful to have a brief chat with the King as he helped us celebrate the bicentenary of NSW Parliament. #bonding #nswpol #RoyalVisitAustralia."
Interestingly, the King’s mention of surfing comes just as a video of Prince Harry, riding waves at Kelly Slater’s Surf Ranch in California, made the rounds online.
The video, filmed by professional surfer Raimana Van Bastolaer, shows Prince Harry skillfully tackling a six-foot wave at the renowned Surf Ranch, known for its advanced wave technology.
Situated more than 100 miles from the coast in Lemoore, California, the Surf Ranch is widely regarded as the world's top artificial wave facility and is the only one sanctioned by the World Surf League for elite competitions.
Tahitian surfing legend Van Bastolaer, who shared the clip, gave Prince Harry a playful nod, captioning it with, "In Tahiti, we still call you Prince Harry."
