Prince William, Kate Middleton Secretly Planning Major Shifts in Royal Holiday Traditions
The future king and queen, Prince William and Kate Middleton, are reportedly making plans to introduce significant changes to longstanding royal traditions.
As King Charles and Queen Camilla complete their first international tour since the King’s cancer diagnosis, close friends of the Prince and Princess of Wales have shared some of the couple's discreet plans.
Traditionally, the royal family gathers at Sandringham Castle each year to celebrate the festive season. However, sources recently told *The Daily Beast* that this year, William and Kate intend to host a “rival Christmas party” at their Anmer Hall home.
This break from the beloved royal holiday customs is said to come amid concerns over King Charles’ reportedly declining health.
The holiday gathering at William and Kate’s residence, located on the Sandringham estate, will also include Kate’s parents, Carole and Mike Middleton.
Despite these changes, insiders report that the traditional Christmas Day walk to church with the entire royal family will proceed as planned. Additionally, the annual Boxing Day pheasant and partridge shoot—a royal family custom often met with criticism—will continue unchanged.
As King Charles is expected to be undergoing treatment throughout December, his attendance may be brief, with William possibly stepping in to lead the shoot in his stead.
