Too Toxic! Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Face Humiliation as They're Replaced on People Magazine by a Corgi

Today marks a significant snub from the U.S. media, as Meghan Markle's situation in Hollywood continues to deteriorate. People Magazine, known for covering stories about Meghan for years, is celebrating its 50th anniversary. However, the cover choice speaks volumes about her standing in the industry.

Instead of featuring Meghan, the magazine opted to highlight her friend Oprah Winfrey alongside numerous celebrities like Jennifer Aniston and The Rock. One might think, given Meghan's status as a primary source for the magazine, she would be included in this milestone celebration. After all, People has often expressed admiration for the royal family. But instead, they've chosen to showcase a Corgi adorned with a crown. This decision seems to underscore a significant rejection of Meghan by People Magazine.

Kinsey Schofield suggests this choice indicates the magazine's desire to align itself more closely with the "real Royals" rather than the Montecito Royals. This snub could stem from resentment over the recent bullying allegations reported by Dan Wakeford, a former editor at People who is now with Us Weekly. Meghan and Harry had previously been generous with People Magazine, granting them exclusive access to private information and insights about their lives. But after Wakeford's report featuring comments from several of Meghan's former employees, it appears the magazine is distancing itself.

Many people expected that this story, which cast Meghan in a more favorable light, would be published in People or another prominent outlet, but instead, it found a home at Us Weekly. Some speculate that this shift may be a form of punishment from People for the perceived betrayal.

Angela Levin pointed out the significance of People choosing a Corgi for their cover, indicating a clear message of rejection for Meghan. Meanwhile, Royal YouTuber Taz remarked, “What? No Meghan? Despite all the exclusives she and Harry have given them? What a bummer! Even a Corgi in a crown made the cut.”

Kelvin Robinson, who has spent considerable time in the U.S., noted a palpable shift in sentiment regarding Meghan and Harry. Many Americans express fatigue over their celebrity status and often suggest that they should return to the U.K. Robinson highlighted that the couple's attempts to cultivate a media persona in the States might backfire, creating competition and resentment among media outlets.

Meghan's approach has not gone unnoticed in Hollywood. Previously sympathetic publications, including the Hollywood Reporter, have turned critical. Observers have noted her attempts at a dramatic return with fashion choices that hark back to her earlier career, yet these have not garnered the expected acclaim.

Interestingly, that same weekend, Reese Witherspoon hosted a Hello Sunshine event featuring women who shared the spotlight at a Hamptons event Meghan attended. Some speculate that Meghan would have benefited more from associating with Witherspoon rather than attempting to regain prominence with a solo appearance at a gala. After all, it's essential to consider the company you keep, and the reluctance of figures like Witherspoon and Taylor Swift to collaborate with her speaks volumes about her current standing.

Meghan Markle's Hollywood reputation appears to be in decline, with significant implications for her future endeavors. The media landscape is changing, and it seems Meghan is struggling to find her place amid the shifting tides of public perception.

It seems to be getting worse for Meghan Markle in Hollywood by the day. Today, *People* magazine is celebrating its 50th anniversary, and while they've been known to cover stories about Meghan extensively, their choice for the anniversary cover has raised eyebrows. Instead of featuring Meghan, they opted for her friend Oprah Winfrey, alongside a host of other celebrities like Jennifer Aniston and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. This group of stars is exactly the kind of company Meghan would want to keep, given her long-standing relationship with the magazine.

But instead of celebrating Meghan's contributions, *People* chose to showcase a corgi wearing a crown. This decision seems to send a clear message: they prefer to stay aligned with the actual royals rather than the Montecito royals. It raises questions about whether the magazine is frustrated that they gave the exclusive bullying scoop to Dan Wakeford, the former editor of *People*, who is now with *US Weekly*. After all, Meghan and Harry have been quite generous in giving *People* access to their lives, including insights into their royal tours and private matters.

They’ve shared that Meghan feels disappointed Harry is still involved in legal issues and that she wants to focus on the future. Given this level of access, many assumed the magazine would be loyal to them. Yet, it appears the rug was pulled out from under them when several of Meghan’s former employees—five on the record and two off—spoke with Dan Wakeford at *US Weekly*. This connection to Abigail Spencer, who mentioned a past friendship with a *People* employee in a Netflix series, could explain the fallout.

One wonders if *People* is choosing to distance itself as a form of punishment for granting that exclusive to *US Weekly*. Typically, a story of this nature would be expected to appear in *People* or *Vanity Fair*, places that could lend credibility to the narrative that paints Meghan in a positive light.

Angela Levin noted how significant it is that *People* didn’t include Meghan in their 50th-anniversary celebrations. Royal YouTuber Taz expressed shock, stating, "What? No Meghan? Despite all the exclusives she and Harry have given them? What a bummer! Even a corgi in a crown made it instead!"

Kelvin Robinson, who has spent considerable time in America, was asked whether there’s a palpable change in how people view Meghan and Harry compared to the rest of the British royal family. He remarked that people often approach him to express their frustration with Meghan and Harry. They feel that the couple has sought celebrity status in the U.S. and believe it may not end well for them.

He pointed out that the royal family has always had a relationship with the media, but it seems that Harry and Meghan are attempting to position themselves as media sources rather than maintaining a respectful distance. This approach breeds competition and resentment, ultimately not serving their interests.

Moreover, while Meghan continues to receive negative press, even outlets that were once supportive, like *The Hollywood Reporter*, have begun to turn against her. In an attempt at a comeback, Meghan recently donned a striking red dress reminiscent of her *Deal or No Deal* days. However, many feel it didn’t help her image.

Interestingly, that same weekend, *People* featured celebrities like Reese Witherspoon on its anniversary cover. While Meghan was busy trying to make a splash in her red dress, Reese held a *Hello Sunshine* event in the Hamptons, featuring several prominent women in entertainment. Had Meghan attended, it could have been a powerful relaunch moment, yet she opted for a less impactful appearance.

It’s reported that Meghan reached out to Reese Witherspoon to appear on her podcast, but Reese politely declined, likely to remain in the royal family’s good graces. This pattern raises the question: is Meghan becoming a pariah in Hollywood?

Returning to the UK, a significant scandal, dubbed "Taylor Swift Gate," has emerged. It involves Taylor's mother negotiating directly with the UK government for police protection during Taylor's concert at Wembley, something Prince Harry has been denied. The Prime Minister met Taylor backstage but kept this meeting hidden from the public eye.

Harry's situation just got more complicated. The government's decision to provide security to Taylor raises questions about their previous rejections of Harry’s security requests, especially considering he has faced threats. This puts King Charles in a difficult position as he tries to explain to Harry why he can't have similar protection.

His line has always been, “The government never gets involved in these things; it’s a police decision. I can’t get involved in these things.” Yet, here we are, seeing the government directly intervening in whether Taylor Swift gets a blue light escort. This situation is unfortunate for the King because it’s one of those issues where Prince Harry is absolutely relentless. He doesn’t see reason when it comes to this matter; it’s his way or the highway. I genuinely sympathize with King Charles here.

I suppose the Labour Party could justify it by claiming that if anyone had sinister intentions, the presence of security might deter them. They might reference the horrific incident at the Ariana Grande concert, where young girls and families need protection while attending a Taylor Swift concert. However, Prince Harry might counter, “Well, why don’t you want to protect Meghan Markle?” That would likely be his response, and it’s a fair point since she doesn’t contribute to the economy and has been vocal about facing racism.

You might be a bit annoyed with me now, Kinsey, because I’m never angry with Prince William, but today I am furious with him. He recently decided to personally bestow a damehood on the former Prime Minister of New Zealand, Jacinda Ardern, who has faced significant controversy.

I hold dual citizenship; I was born in New Zealand but raised in the UK. No one has done more damage to New Zealand than Jacinda Ardern. Her policies during the COVID pandemic were nothing short of evil. I have friends—police officers, pharmacists, veterinarians, teachers—who lost their jobs and were essentially cast out of society due to her vaccine mandate. Some friends missed their parents' funerals because they were locked down in what felt like prisons.

Seeing William laughing with Ardern, who doesn’t understand that she is one of the most controversial figures in New Zealand history, deeply upsets me. She has harmed New Zealand more than anyone else, and yet, because she is a globalist, William chose to align with her. He would never do this with a right-wing politician; if evil had a face, it would resemble Jacinda Ardern. Her sneering and grinning as she enforced harsh lockdowns sent shivers down my spine every time she appeared on television. I was grateful when she stepped down; she saw the writing on the wall.

What worries me is that this kind of move could endanger the monarchy’s reputation. The monarchy is supposed to be apolitical and should never engage in politics in this way. Prince William’s decision to honor Jacinda Ardern with a damehood is ill-advised. While it’s fine to form friendships, offering a title to someone who is clearly far-left and unpopular with many, including her own people, shows that he is becoming political in a way he should not.

I hope he learns from this mistake and understands the need to remain neutral, especially as he is poised to be our future king. Kinsey, can you defend William here? I genuinely like him, but I don’t think he fully grasps the damage Jacinda Ardern has done to New Zealand.

I agree; perhaps he isn’t privy to the same information you have. He might have his blinders on and his own issues to deal with. Many of us were negatively affected by how our countries handled lockdowns. We saw friends become depressed and isolated due to lack of social interaction. Tragically, some younger individuals have lost their lives as a result of the pandemic’s impact on mental health. It’s essential that we grasp the magnitude of how being cut off from human interaction for extended periods has affected us.

Hopefully, Prince William will come to understand the extent of the harm caused during those lockdowns. Interestingly, when Jacinda Ardern appeared in Harry and Meghan’s Netflix docuseries, she claimed she had no idea they were involved, suggesting she wouldn’t have participated had she known. So, there’s that.

Jacinda Ardern did choose William and Catherine over Harry and Meghan, which is intriguing because Harry and Meghan believed they had bonded with her during their visit to New Zealand. They were devastated by this.

William has the world at his fingertips regarding whom he wants to associate with in the Earthshot Prize. While some say Ardern is nice in person, I recently spoke to a former national leader who doesn’t agree with her policies but found her pleasant. However, William needs to consider that he will one day be King of New Zealand, so he should think carefully about the company he keeps. Jacinda Ardern is not the right choice.
