A makeup artist explains why Trump's skin actually looks orange: 'If you look closely...'

Safia Cox explains in detail this phenomenon that has been the talk of the town especially on social media

You've probably seen a meme or read a comment on social media: is Donald Trump orange?

The truth is that the skin tone of the former president of the United States – and candidate for the White House again for the Republican Party in Tuesday's elections – often seems too exaggerated and not entirely in keeping with the rest of his body.

Why is this? A professional British makeup artist has explained it in detail in the newspaper 'Mirror'.

Safia Cox, a freelance makeup artist with a lot of success in her career and on social media, has explained why we see Trump with a color more typical of Chester Cheetos.

Many people think that perhaps the tycoon has overexerted himself with the UV rays or that he has not chosen the right shade to put himself in front of the spotlight, but Cox has another theory.

«I think he uses some kind of artificial tanner or tinted moisturiser and bronzer. I don't 100% believe that it's tanning beds, as the tone would be completely different,» he explains to the aforementioned British tabloid.

«A cream product»

«Some kind of artificial tanner or some kind of tinted moisturiser and bronzer, and then he has applied powder. It is definitely some kind of cream product that he uses and he has probably mattified it afterwards because it is very orange,» he adds, about the peculiar colour.

In addition, Cox points out that «if you look closely» you can «see the border around his face» and that is not because of a sun treatment, which does not leave such clear marks when done well, but because of «some kind of cream product.»

“I think his makeup has changed over the years, and I think it’s because he’s gotten older and potentially a little more insecure,” she theorizes.

The makeup artist believes that it could be due to insecurity and that he really looks good in these shades, or that he does it to deflect topics that could be damaging to him and prefers that people talk about his appearance.

“It’s not a nice tan, it doesn’t look like he just got off a plane, but it looks like he’s applied several layers of artificial tan. It’s strange; either he’s very insecure and does it to gain confidence and think he looks good, or he’s intelligent and does it so that people talk about him,” she says.
