Prince Harry Receives Bittersweet News from the UK Ahead of Major Royal Celebration
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will once again not be flying across the pond for the holiday season.
For generations, the British royal family has gathered at Sandringham Castle to celebrate Christmas, continuing a long-held tradition. However, sources have revealed that this year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not invited to the festive occasion.
Following a report by *People* magazine, both Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace were approached for comment regarding the guest list for the upcoming celebrations at the Scottish Palace. Neither palace provided a response.
This news comes after reports that Prince Harry and Meghan are feeling the absence of family during the holiday season, particularly because their two children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3, will not have the opportunity to meet their extended family or bond with their cousins.
A source shared with *OK!* magazine, “For Harry, it’s a reminder that he doesn’t have any of his side of the family to celebrate with. The kids won’t be seeing their cousins, and that was one of his favourite things growing up—seeing all the cousins playing together at Sandringham.”
The source added, “It may even hurt him to see all the royals together, attending church and enjoying each other’s company.”
In a previous report, a friend of Prince Harry’s told *People* that the monarch has been “ignoring” calls from his younger son. “He gets ‘unavailable right now,’” the friend said. “His calls go unanswered. He’s tried reaching out about the King’s health, but those calls go unanswered too.”
It is also reported that King Charles, despite adopting a softer stance, has been advised to avoid any direct communication with Harry due to potential “legal jeopardy” amid his ongoing legal battle over security arrangements.
It seems that the Palace has chosen a cautious approach, opting for silence to avoid any direct controversy with a clear statement.
