Donald Trump Under Investigation for Threats Caught on Camera

Breaking News: Donald Trump Under Investigation for Incendiary Remarks

Donald Trump is officially being investigated by one of Arizona's top prosecutors for incendiary remarks he made at an event in the state just a few days ago. To make matters worse, Trump recently spoke in Arizona again, making comments that could potentially escalate the situation. He suggested shooting through the media and expressed regret about leaving the White House in 2021, implying he never should have left. We all remember the various ways he attempted to cling to power, and it seems he’s still grappling with those issues.

I want to show you this clip of Trump from his recent Pennsylvania rally, where he said he doesn't mind if people shoot through the fake news media. This isn’t just casual banter; Trump's long-standing contentious relationship with the press suggests he might prefer state-controlled media over the critical voices that challenge him.

At the rally, he stated, “To get me, somebody would have to shoot through the fake news. I don’t mind that so much.” Is he trying to sabotage his own campaign? Given that he’s currently under investigation for prior remarks, it’s puzzling that he would double down with even more extreme rhetoric.

He has nothing to lose at this point. If he loses the election, he could face serious legal consequences—potentially jail time. If he wins, he regains everything. This creates a dangerous environment for him to amplify these outrageous lies without regard for the fallout.

Jordy Mel, a friend of the show, emphasized the seriousness of Trump’s rhetoric, suggesting he is inciting violence against the media. Ben Myel echoed this sentiment, saying Trump’s comments should be taken seriously and warrant investigation.

After showcasing clips from Trump’s rally, I want to highlight his comments on Liz Cheney. Speaking to Tucker Carlson, Trump labeled Cheney as a “radical Warhawk” and suggested putting her “with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her.” His remarks have raised significant alarm, and they are being described as deeply troubling.

On Friday, Arizona Attorney General Chris Mays stated that they are looking into whether Trump’s comments constitute a death threat under state laws. This is particularly concerning given the history of violence incited by political rhetoric.

Mays said, “It’s not yet clear if Trump’s comment qualifies as protected free speech or a criminal threat,” but the atmosphere created by such incendiary remarks cannot be ignored. Trump's tactics of deflecting criticism and launching counterattacks, a strategy honed under Roy Cohn, further complicate the legal landscape.

In terms of the political landscape, Trump’s chances of winning the election are also shifting. Prediction markets recently indicated that his likelihood of winning has dropped from 67% to around 54%. This decline suggests a waning momentum as polling reveals diminishing energy among his supporters.

Trump’s comments about feeling he shouldn’t have left the White House are reminiscent of his attempts to undermine the legitimacy of the 2020 election. He claimed, “The day that I left, I shouldn’t have left. We did so well.” It’s a troubling narrative given his history of trying to overturn election results.

The overarching issue is the erosion of political norms and the dangerous precedent set by Trump’s remarks. As Vice President Kamala Harris noted, Trump's comments are signs of his increasingly unhinged behavior. She recently addressed the significance of voters not being swayed by Trump's tactics designed to undermine confidence in the electoral process.

In response to questions about what would happen if Trump declares victory prematurely, Harris urged voters to recognize their power and the integrity of the electoral system.

Finally, in the prediction markets, Harris now has a 55% chance of winning, up from 48% just 48 hours ago. It’s been a solid week for her, indicating a shift in momentum.
