Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Bracing for 'Sleepless Nights' Amid Donald Trump’s Presidency
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are facing growing concerns as a result of what royal commentator Lee Cohen describes as a series of "bad judgments" made by the couple. In a recent interview with Nana Akua on GB News, Cohen, a frequent critic of the Sussexes, suggested that the couple might be enduring "sleepless nights" following Donald Trump's recent U.S. election victory.
Trump, who has not shied away from criticizing the couple, has even raised questions about Harry’s visa status in the past. Cohen remarked, "It seems like divine justice or karma that the Sussexes’ fortunes have taken such a turn."
Reflecting on the couple’s ongoing struggles, Cohen added, "Over the past year, bad behavior and poor decisions appear to be catching up with them."
With Trump’s significant victory in the recent election, it seems that Meghan and Harry may be facing even more anxiety, particularly in their Montecito home. Trump, known for his blunt and outspoken opinions, has previously cast doubt on Prince Harry’s U.S. visa status. He even raised the issue of whether the Duke of Sussex disclosed past drug use—something Harry openly discussed in his memoir *Spare*.
While Trump’s potential return to the White House might not prioritize Harry's visa status, it’s certainly a matter that continues to stir unease for the Sussexes. In addition to his criticism of their decisions, Trump has also expressed disdain for the couple’s actions, accusing them of "betraying" the late Queen Elizabeth. In a past interview with Nigel Farage on GB News, Trump shared his thoughts on Meghan and Harry’s relationship with the royal family, stating, "I’m not a fan of Meghan Markle; I wasn’t from day one." He further added that Harry has been "used terribly" by Meghan and suggested that he may one day regret his decisions.
Trump also believes that Meghan’s influence has negatively impacted Harry’s relationship with his family and contributed to tensions that caused distress for the Queen.
As the Sussexes navigate their new lives, these external pressures, coupled with their past choices, continue to weigh heavily on their public image and personal lives.
