Barron Trump, the youngest son of Donald Trump and Melania, not only draws attention for his impressive height of over 2 metres, but also for his discreet life and his recent admission to New York University. We tell you about his growth in the White House and his close relationship with his mother.
The newly elected president of the United States, Donald Trump, has a tall family. Starting with the conservative businessman and politician, who is 1.90 m tall, and continuing with his current wife, Melania, who has a slender figure of 1.80 m. His eldest son, Donald Jr., is not far behind, at 1.85 m. Ivanka, the second of the five Trump siblings, is 1.80 m tall; Eric, the third, stands out at 1.96 m; and the fourth, Tiffany, is the shortest, at 1.73 m.
However, Donald Trump's youngest son, Barron, towers over them all at a towering 2.06 m. What else do we know about the youngest of the family?
Trump's son who grew up in the White House
On January 22, 2005, Donald Trump married Melania Knauss, who became his third wife. Shortly after the wedding, the couple received the news that they were expecting a baby: Trump's fifth child, who was born on March 20, 2006, and was christened Barron William Trump.
Barron spent his early years on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York, living in a luxury penthouse in Trump Tower and attending one of the city's most prestigious schools, surrounded by his family's opulent lifestyle.
At the age of 10, his life took a turn when his father was elected as the 45th President of the United States. During the four years he lived in the White House, Barron studied at St. Andrews Episcopal School in Maryland. Unlike his older siblings, he stayed out of the media spotlight during this key stage of his adolescence.
Time in Florida
In 2021, after Trump's presidential term ended, the family moved to Florida, and Barron had to change schools. He completed his final years of high school at Oxbridge Academy in Palm Beach, where he graduated last May.
Now 18 years old, Barron has decided to return to his hometown to study at New York University's Stern School of Business. "It was his decision to come here because he wants to be in New York, study in New York and live at home, and I respect that," Melania said in a recent interview with Ainsley Earhardt of Fox and Friends.
Languages and hobbies
Although due to his height many would think that Barron would choose basketball, the sport that he is really passionate about is football, as Donald Trump has revealed in some interviews.
Another peculiarity of Trump's youngest son is that he not only speaks English as his mother tongue, he also communicates in Slovenian, which is his mother's native language.
His mother's protégé
Melania Trump has always shown herself to be a very family-oriented and reserved person, striving to protect Barron from public opinion. According to People magazine, close sources describe her as a very loving mother and point out that Barron is "shy and reserved." A statement that contrasts with the one made by his father at the first rally he attended: "He is very popular, he could be more popular than Don and Eric. So it is good to have him here."
