Strike actress Amber Anderson claims Harvey Weinstein proposed ‘personal relationship’ to further her career
British actress Amber Anderson, best known for her role in *Strike: The Cuckoo’s Calling*, has come forward with serious allegations against disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein. The 25-year-old actress, who was just 20 at the time, claims that Weinstein proposed a “personal relationship” in exchange for advancing her career.
In a candid Instagram post on Monday, Anderson added her name to the growing list of women who have accused Weinstein of s3xual harassment or assault. She detailed a disturbing encounter that took place in 2013, when she was summoned by Weinstein to a private meeting in a hotel room.
“I was 20 years old when, in 2013, Harvey Weinstein coerced me into a private meeting, telling me I couldn’t bring anyone with me and having the staff dismissed,” Anderson wrote.
Once alone with him, she described how the atmosphere quickly shifted, with Weinstein becoming suggestive. “He behaved inappropriately and propositioned a ‘personal’ relationship to further my career, while bragging about how he had ‘helped’ other actresses in similar ways,” she continued.
Anderson recalled that Weinstein warned her not to tell anyone about the meeting, implying that doing so could negatively impact her future opportunities. The situation escalated when Weinstein allegedly placed his hand on her lap, prompting Anderson to leave the room in a hurry.
Weinstein has faced accusations of s3xual assault and harassment from over 40 women, although he denies all allegations of non-consensual s3x. Anderson's brave revelation adds to the ongoing conversation about abuse and power dynamics in Hollywood.
