Kate Middleton and Prince William are reportedly dedicated to providing their eldest son, Prince George, with a stable and normal school life. Despite the challenges the family has faced, including Kate’s cancer diagnosis, they have ensured George attends a school where he can maintain a sense of normalcy.
The Prince and Princess of Wales enrolled George at Lambrook School, which costs £47k per year, aiming to offer their children a grounded education. Royal expert Katie Nicholl shared with *OK!* magazine that even during Kate’s time in the hospital, George was seen on the football pitch, playing with his friends. She explained, “That sense of normality, of keeping the family going at one of the hardest times they’ve ever gone through, was important.”
Nicholl further emphasized the importance of the support network provided by the school, saying, “The school gives them a great infrastructure and a great support network, allowing the children to live a regular childhood – a low-key, happy, albeit privileged childhood.”
When it comes to George's future, Kate has a clear vision. According to Nicholl, Kate prefers for George to attend a co-educational school, so he can be with his siblings. This preference comes from Kate’s own positive experiences at Marlborough, where she was educated alongside her siblings, Pippa and James. Nicholl adds, “It was a very happy school life for her,” while noting that Prince William, on the other hand, has fond memories of Eton, a school with a long-standing tradition among the aristocracy and royal family members.
