King Charles Plans Special Christmas Surprise for Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet Despite Harry's Wishes
King Charles is planning a delightful surprise for his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, despite Prince Harry’s efforts to keep them away from the UK.
For those unaware, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle stepped away from royal duties in 2020, choosing to live life independently. Since their highly publicized exit, the bond between the King and his grandchildren has weakened over time.
However, according to former royal butler Grant Harrold, King Charles is still eager to maintain contact with his grandchildren, even if it’s through a Zoom call. Harrold suggested that the monarch could communicate with the young royals virtually, especially around Christmas.
In an interview with *Fabulous*, Harrold expressed his belief that King Charles would make a concerted effort to connect with Archie and Lilibet. "I’m willing to bet that there definitely will be some sort of [Zoom] communication on Christmas Day. There’s no question," he shared.
He further clarified, "I’m not talking so much about Harry and Meghan directly, but I have no doubt the King will want to see his grandkids on Christmas Day."
Harrold also predicted a sweet exchange of gifts between the Sussex family and the monarch, saying, "The King will send gifts. I guarantee you that something will be sent, and likewise, gifts will be sent to Grandpa or Grandmother [from the Sussexes]. There will definitely, without a doubt, be communication."
While recent comments from Harry have highlighted his concerns about his family’s safety in the UK, which led him to reject an invitation to bring Archie and Lilibet back to his homeland, it appears King Charles is determined to bring a sense of joy and connection to his relationship with his grandchildren this holiday season. This potential Christmas reunion may just be the monarch’s way of breaking through Harry’s wishes to keep the children away.
