Having become a huge star thanks to her role in the Twilight saga, Kristen Stewart had already been squatting on film sets since childhood. A period during which she discovered that she had a chronic illness from which she still suffers today.
She is and will forever remain Bella, the heroine of the Twilight saga, in the hearts of fans. While she achieved world star status thanks to this role, Kristen Stewart was not a beginner before filming the first film in the franchise. Indeed, the young woman had already been scouring film sets since she was very young. French viewers will also be able to admire her in the feature film entitled In the Land of Women, released a year before the first Twilight, which will be rebroadcast on RTL9 on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 3:25 p.m.
While she is currently pursuing a brilliant career, as evidenced by her César for Best Supporting Actress which rewarded her performance in Sils Maria, Kristen Stewart must still fight today against an illness that has been eating away at her from the inside since childhood. Like some of her fellow actresses such as Amy Adams for example, the young woman suffers from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
An incurable disease
Although she has been treated for this pathology since childhood, Kristen Stewart is still not cured today. She continues to take medication such as Dexedrine to control her hyperactivity. This disease has caused her many problems throughout her life. It is also one of the main reasons why the actress stopped going to school from the age of 13 to fall back on correspondence courses.
However, her growing fame also explains why Kristen Stewart made this choice. It must be said that she began her acting career at only 8 years old when she appeared for the first time in a Disney Channel TV movie. Subsequently, she would appear in no less than 4 films before she turned 13, including the cult classic Panic Room by David Fincher. But she would have to wait until she was 18 to get the role of her life in Twilight. Since then, she has continued to top the bill and does not seem ready to stop there.
