Meghan Markle ‘Furious’ Over Major Setback Before Brand Launch

Meghan Markle Faces Setback as Legal Issues Delay Brand Launch

Meghan Markle’s plans for her new lifestyle brand have hit a major snag due to a legal issue, further complicating her efforts.

The Duchess of Sussex had recently announced her brand, American Riviera Orchard, but has now been delayed in securing a trademark after a lawsuit was filed against it. This legal challenge has forced Meghan to postpone the brand's launch by three months.

Royal biographer Angela Levin revealed that Meghan is "very angry" about the situation. She added that if the issue continues, Meghan could be back to square one with her plans.

"She’s now asked for another three months on the trademark application deadline," Levin told GB News. "If the case isn’t resolved by the end of this extension, the process will have to restart."

Levin further explained that the delay stems from a protest filed by Harry & David, the company that owns the 'Royal Riviera' trademark, with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

The royal expert suggested that Meghan’s troubles could be easily avoided if she simply changed the name of the brand, as 'Royal Riviera' is a well-known second name for the Montecito area. However, Levin noted that Meghan seems determined to stick with the name, which is making the situation more difficult.

This setback follows other challenges faced by Meghan and Prince Harry in their business endeavors, leading Levin to speculate about a potential professional separation between the couple. She hinted that such a development could cause further strain on their marriage. However, neither Harry nor Meghan have made any official comment on the matter.
