Prince and Princess of Wales Confirm Plans to Join King Charles and Queen Camilla for Christmas Celebration
King Charles III has revealed his largest-ever Christmas guest list, following speculation about the plans of Prince William and Kate Middleton. This year's holiday celebration is set to be a significant occasion, as the royal family unites after a challenging year, aiming to present a message of unity, strength, and togetherness to the public.
As tradition dictates, the King will host Christmas at Sandringham House, the Queen's country estate in Norfolk. Around 45 family members are expected to attend, including Prince William and Kate Middleton, who are confirmed to be part of the celebration. Prince Andrew will also reportedly be present, despite his ongoing tensions with the monarch over royal residence matters.
Prince William, who will one day become King, has already confirmed that he and his family will spend Christmas at Sandringham with their royal relatives. This will be the first time the royals come together in full force since both King Charles and the Princess of Wales faced health battles earlier this year.
However, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are notably absent from the guest list for this year’s festivities, according to sources. A royal insider shared: “The King is embracing the Christmas period with great joy, and staff who have seen him this week commented on how happy and healthy he looks.”
The Prince and Princess of Wales, along with their three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—are among the first on the list. Joining them will be the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Edward and Sophie, along with their children Lady Louise Windsor (21) and James, the Earl of Wessex (who turns 17 next week).
Princess Anne, the King’s trusted confidante, is also expected to attend with her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence. Meanwhile, despite his ongoing challenges, Prince Andrew, along with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson (Fergie), is set to join the celebration. Sources suggest the King is determined to have the family united, especially over the holiday period.
The King’s nieces and nephews, along with their families, are also eagerly anticipating the festive gathering. Zara and Mike Tindall, along with their three children—Mia, Lena, and Lucas—are expected to attend, as well as Peter Phillips and his two daughters. It’s also rumored that Peter may bring his new girlfriend, Harriet Sperling.
Princess Beatrice, who is pregnant, along with her husband Edo and daughter Sienna, are expected to join the celebrations, as well as Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank, along with their sons August and Ernest.
In a royal first, it has also been confirmed that Queen Camilla’s family will join the royal festivities. Her son, Tom Parker Bowles, has confirmed that his mother personally invited him and his family to be part of the royal Christmas gathering this year.
