Prince Harry and Meghan's Dual Strategies for Success in 2024
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have adopted a quieter, more calculated approach in 2024, following a whirlwind year.
The Duke of Sussex kicked off 2023 with the release of *Spare*, his highly anticipated autobiography, which offered an unfiltered look at his life and his strained relationship with the Royal Family. The book stirred significant controversy, particularly with its candid portrayal of Harry's relationship with his brother, Prince William.
Since then, the brothers have had minimal contact, and Princess Kate hasn’t exactly been engaging in casual conversations with Harry either. As a result, the couple has largely remained out of the Royal spotlight in 2024.
Harry and Meghan have developed two distinct strategies to navigate the new year. The first strategy involves international tours, which mirror royal engagements but without the official titles. The couple visited countries like Nigeria and Colombia, addressing critical issues, with Harry using the tours to highlight the Invictus Games.
The second strategy is their ‘professional separation’—Harry and Meghan’s way of forging their own paths. Meghan has made solo appearances in California and New York, while Harry has traveled independently, with international visits to the UK, southern Africa, and Canada, continuing to champion his personal initiatives.
In fact, Harry made several trips back to London in 2024, yet his only meeting with King Charles occurred just once, with little contact following that encounter. Even for the 10-year anniversary of the Invictus Games at St. Paul’s Cathedral, it was Harry’s maternal family who attended, not his royal relatives.
