King Charles Excludes Prince Harry from Christmas Gathering
King Charles III has reportedly decided to exclude his younger son, Prince Harry, from the royal family’s Christmas gathering. This decision comes amid reports that Harry is reluctant to spend the festive season in the UK.
The Duke of Sussex appears to have missed a significant opportunity to reconcile with his royal relatives this Christmas, as he and his wife, Meghan Markle, have made separate plans for the holiday. It’s understood that the 76-year-old monarch chose not to press Harry into attending the family celebration at Sandringham, recognizing that it could create tension between father and son.
Royal biographer Ingrid Seward has suggested that extending an invitation to the Sussexes was "too much" for King Charles to handle. However, some experts believe that such occasions could be the perfect chance for families to come together, setting aside their differences.
A palace insider shared: "The Duke has seemingly missed the opportunity to make amends with his family. His presence could have softened the hearts of his father and brother, both of whom still love him and wish for him to return to the fold."
They continued, "The Duke seems indecisive about his return to royal life."
While Harry's absence may be felt by certain members of the royal family, his children, Archie and Lilibet, remain a source of affection for many of the royals, as they have had limited time together.
