The actress has admitted that it was as disgusting to film it as it was to watch it on television.
Before making it big in the movies with the romantic comedy Anyone But You and becoming one of the stars of Marvel comics with Madame Web, actress Sydney Sweeney became known for her role as Cassie in the disturbing and exhausting HBO Max series, Euphoria, in which she had to star in one of the most disgusting moments of the series.
As it's been two years since the premiere of the second season, many may not remember the scene in question, but the moment in Euphoria that still gives Sweeney nightmares is when Cassie vomits in the jacuzzi where all her friends and Nate are. "The most disgusting moment of her career," according to her.
"In a lot of movies they just make you mix something mashed up with milk and water and put it in your mouth to pretend you're throwing up. But Sam [Levinson, creator and director of Euphoria] didn't want that, he wanted the vomit to come out everywhere so they had to create a pump that expelled it," Sweeney recalled in an interview with Hot Ones.
"They had to put part of a horse bridle on me to hold it in my mouth, so when I threw up the mixture that was in my mouth, the pump could keep expelling vomit. Everything was shooting out of my mouth. It was the most disgusting thing I've ever had to do," admitted the actress, who surely didn't leave her co-stars with good memories either.
When is the third season of Euphoria premiering?
Since the second season of Euphoria premiered in February 2022, fans have been wondering if the third season of the HBO series will ever arrive, and although it is confirmed, it seems that it will not be possible to see it until 2025, especially due to the complicated schedule of its protagonists.
"Obviously the fact that its protagonists have become big stars, especially Zendaya, adds a point of difficulty. However, the main thing is to finish the story that Sam [Levinson] wants to tell and that is what we are working on now," said HBO boss Casey Bloys in an interview about Euphoria.
