Angelina Jolie and her son Knox are stepping up to help those affected by the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles, starting with some hands-on efforts in their community.
On Thursday, January 9, the 49-year-old *Maleficent* actress was seen at a grocery store in the Los Feliz neighborhood, accompanied by her 16-year-old son. The two were picking up essentials like water to aid in the relief efforts.
When asked if she planned to donate to the fire victims, Jolie confirmed that she would. She also shared that she is currently hosting evacuees at her home. “Yeah, I will [donate],” she told *The Daily Mail*. “Right now I’m taking care of people close to me and having them at my house.” Jolie lives in a $25 million mansion in Los Feliz, which has fortunately not been severely affected by the fires.
For her grocery run, Jolie wore an all-black outfit, while Knox kept it casual in a grey T-shirt and shorts.
Knox, along with his twin sister Vivienne, is the youngest of Jolie and ex-husband Brad Pitt’s six children. The former couple, who finalized their divorce on January 3 after eight years of separation, also share Shiloh, who recently dropped “Pitt” from her surname on her 18th birthday. The couple's older children, Maddox, 23, Zahara, 20, and Pax, 21, were all adopted. Pax, who had a close call with an e-bike accident a few months ago, has fully recovered and even joined his mother on the red carpet in September.
As wildfires continue to devastate Los Angeles County, several celebrities have been stepping in to assist with the relief efforts. On January 8, Jamie Lee Curtis and Christopher Guest donated $1 million to the cause. Halle Berry and Sharon Stone have also made contributions, with Stone donating clothes for those who have lost their belongings, according to *Forbes*.
